I had set up a blog, "Farmers for Christ", to try to do local blogging in the Farmersville area. It never took off. Tonight I deleted it...well, I
meant to delete it. Instead, I deleted Praisegod Barebones. It is all lost. I apologize. I really do. The word of God endures forever, but not the word of Bart. And that's the way it ought to be. But I'm still brokenhearted over all of that work gone forever.
Oh my goodness, Bart. Talk about a humbling experience! All my wonderful comments of wisdom--gone...lost in the world of cyberspace. Hee,hee. That is truly sad about your blogs. I'm so sorry. Maybe some people have saved some of them somewhere. I'm fortunate, I have a friend who saves all mine and prints them out for me. She thinks I write really well. Perhaps this teaches us all a lesson. I can see a blog already.
ReplyDeleteBart,
ReplyDeleteIt is not too late. There may be a better workaround, but this is the only thing I know to do.
Go to Google. Click advanced search.
In the domain box (middle of the page, right hand side, the box above where it says "e.g. google.com, .org More info"), paste this:
praisegodbarebones.blogspot.com
Change the search results to 100 (top right dropdown next to Google Search button)
Click search
Now the results are all of your blog posts.
The first result will say:
Praisegod BarebonesBlog Archive. ▼ 2007 (33). ▼ March (7). Hyper-Hyperbole · An Ode to "Honorable Men" · Running for SBC Office This Year? ...
praisegodbarebones.blogspot.com/ - 85k - Cached - Similar pages
Click on the Cached link
Then, copy and paste all the posts you want to preserve.
And for those of you who ever were embarassed by a post- sorry, this stuff does not go away.
muhahahahahahaha
colin,
ReplyDeletewow...you are my new hero.

Colin,
ReplyDeleteThanks for this GREAT tip. I tried it with my own blog as well to see if it would work.
Colin,
ReplyDeleteGo, man, go!

Okay Colin, you are a genius to we internet illiterate. Praise the Lord. Now can you tell me how I can get my own blog to let me post a response to a comment made by another blogger. It is driving me wacko. I click "post" and instead of it going to the robot-letters, it shows another person's blog site with a blank screen. I have no problem composing a blog. Just having problems commenting on mine and anyone else who has typepad. Crazy. selahV
