Falwell has been my hero of Faith and Vision for years. Now his faith has become sight! Over 3 million souls saved in Fifty years of ministry - wow! Not to mention everything else God did through him. May God raise up more like him!
Bart, I find it curious that this post has received few responses, and wonder why. Regardless of why, it might be for the best. I have been quite surprised how much Jerry Falwell has been vilified on some Baptist discussion boards.
I did not closely follow his life and ministry, but, of course, heard lots about him. May God bless and comfort his family.
Bart: won't it be amazing to see the pundits stand and watch Falwell receive a crown of faithfulness when we all see Jesus someday? I for one, am sorry, very sorry, he is gone. His voice brought attention to the Christ he loved and served. May the seeds Rev. Falwell sowed burst forth and multiply as seeds of mustard. My heart bleeds for his family. selahV

ReplyDeleteThanks for the news that a brother is now seeing the Lord he has proclaim for many years.
We should all pray for his family, Thomas Road Baptist Church, and Liberty University.

It's amazing to see the hate-filled rhetoric people of like faith have spewed at Dr. Falwell.
ReplyDeleteProbably more heartbreaking than amazing.
