I've enabled Google Adsense on this blog. I think that I might earn as much as 10¢ per month off the ads, so it isn't for the income of the thing. Rather, it is simply a matter of principle. With the increasing hostility toward earners in our nation these days, I wanted to do something to affirm Capitalism.
It might not last. I see that the first ad panel includes "Become a Clergymen." I like neither the concept (Internet-order ordinations?) nor the total absence of grammatical proofreading. I might not be able to stand this for very long, principles or no principles.
ReplyDeleteYou are cracking me up! AMEN!
ReplyDeleteThe "Be Healthy, Be Wealthy" ad looks promising. If only there were a link on here for ordering specially blessed prayer cloths...
ReplyDeleteAll the ads are about earning money at home and so on. Are you sending me a message?
ReplyDeleteBart,
ReplyDeleteI ignored the ad for the Mormons and their website at www.mormon.org.
I just want you to know that I will cooperate with Baptists who believe in the equality of women, Baptists who have a different view from me on spiritual gifts, Baptists who are differ from me on soteriology, ecclesiology and eschatology--
But I draw the line at Mormonism.
Were it not for the seemingly separation in fellowship initiated by you toward me and other Baptists who differ from you, I might have to separate from fellowship with you over this Mormon fiasco.
Wink.
Wade
P.S. Just havin a little fun with you.
Wade,
ReplyDeleteI really want to thank you for catching that. I will not tolerate that. The ads are gone. I have already made my snarky point about Capitalism anyway.
As for who excludes whom, I direct the readers to the minutes of the Southern Baptist Convention Annual Meeting. One will find no record of me mentioning you.
