Torrential rain is making things tough today. Flights have been cancelled. I-70 is closed in at least two places. I'm blogging from my phone as we re-route through Urbana. So, for all you convention-goers out there, be careful. And we'd love to hear your travel-to-Indy stories!

Bart,
I'm in the convention hotel, even as we speak. Drove up a couple days ago and have been visiting friends and relatives here and in Ohio.
Got 50+ MPG in the Prius.
:)

See ya in Indy!

Bart,
My sweet wife and I are flying out in the morning at 6:00AM (in just a few hours) . . . without our four children . . . with that said, in nine months we will probably be naming our 5th kid, "INDY." :D

Chadwick,
That, my friend, is more information about your plans this week than I needed.
:)
I'm leaving in a just a bit to head to the airport. It's bittersweet...I'm excited about the pastor's conference but I'm reluctant to leave my church behind. We're still recovering from a tornado that busted us up pretty good. Today is a "Island Service" at the lake. We have twenty scheduled for baptism with BBQ to follow. I'm praying for many more to confess Christ and to enter the chilly waters of believer's baptism.
I thought your second sentence read "fights have been canceled." However, I knew that couldn't be true so I reread it and caught the "l".
Maybe someday they'll have this on the weekend so lay folks who aren't retired can go. Hey I just made myself laugh on that one; imagine, doing something that would actually encourage participation? And don't give me that line about needing to preach on Sunday. I'm preaching the next two Sunday's so our pastor can attend some family functions. It would be a wonderful opportunity to open up the pulpit at your to someone who is desiring to preach.
I flew in from RDU via Philly. My connection was delayed because there was no crew but otherwise a smooth trip. Staying with family in Lafayette.
